With 25 years experience, I have been lucky enough to diversify my career across multiple media formats and businesses - audio, out-of-home and print, working with iconic brands The Guardian, Global, IPC and Adelicious. Career highlights have been being part of the team that returned The Guardian to profit for the first time since 1998 (BBC News described this success as "the culmination of one of the most significant turnarounds in recent British media history."), winning Campaigns 40 Over 40 in 2024 and winning Media Week and Campaign's 'Sales Team of the Year' Award seven times. But more importantly, I've been an active mentor in NABS Fast Forward programme for a decade, a mentor for Media Trust's Hidden Talent programme and member of NABS 100 Club. Today, I'm focusing on pushing the podcast industry on the establishment of an industry body, to help drive and deliver industry-wide measurement, delivery, evidence and efficacy. I'm also actively driving the media and marketing industry conversation and ultimately action, on the pervasion of ageism, that not only impacts the experience and expertise that can be missing, but also the disproportionate focus and targeting of younger demographics.
