I’m working-class, straight-talking, with no formal advertising training. I’m in my fifties and the creative lead at one of the nosiest agencies. And I'm just getting started.After a disastrous career in fashion, I discovered a love for words and joined adland. Since then, I've created award-winning campaigns including Asda's 'Buddy the Elf Christmas' and British Heart Foundation’s ‘Staying Alive’.I’ve been awarded Campaign's Creative Leader of the Year twice and served as a Cannes Lions Jury President. In 2020, I became Havas’ first female CCO and in 2021, led the agency to its best creative and new business year to date.
